Wai Kiat is a Portfolio Manager in Ninety One’s EMD team and is based in Singapore. His responsibilities include coverage of Asian Sovereign and FX.

Wai Kiat joined Ninety One in 2024 from abrdn where he worked as an Investment Manager covering Asia and EM macro. Prior to this, he was an EM Debt Portfolio Manager at UOB Asset Management.

Wai Kiat graduated from the University of London with a First Class Honours in BSc Banking & Finance, and is a CFA charterholder. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
