Deon is Global Head of Product Development within Ninety One’s global Product Development team. He was previous product director primarily responsible for Africa and the broader private markets complex.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked for AlexForbes in the Group Solutions team, designing retirement savings products and conducting projects for the Group’s Strategy Office. He started his career at RisCura where he was responsible for the product development of the Analytics business. Thereafter he worked as an institutional solutions strategist within the fixed income investment team at Ashburton Investments where he also focused on the balance sheet management of Firstrand’s non-bank businesses.

Deon hold a Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from University of Cape Town and he is a CFA® Charterholder.
