Ann-Maree is a portfolio manager within the South African Multi Asset and General Equity team, forming part of the leadership team while responsible for the real estate portfolios. Additionally, she has global responsibility, as the Head of Engagement and Stewardship, overseeing firmwide engagement to realise improved investment and sustainability outcomes. She started her career as an ESG analyst, taking on greater investment responsibility as an equity analyst and later portfolio manager. She holds positions on the boards of the Abe Bailey Trust, and NPO, The Jungle Theatre Company. She represents Ninety One on the ASISA Responsible Investment Committee and on the investment and advisory committees for the Mission for The Inner City. Ann-Maree holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Commerce in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
