Ninety One won the News24 Best Overall Fund Manager award at the inaugural FundHub Industry Performance Awards in Cape Town on 3 March 2025. The highlight of the ceremony, this award recognises investment managers who excel across a minimum of five Asisa categories over longer periods.
After discussions with several asset managers (including Ninety One who spearheaded the idea), The Collaborative Exchange with News24 as media sponsors, launched this new awards ceremony as it aims to restore credence within the unit trust industry and recognises “best-in-class” investment performance in the South African investment industry.
The Ninety One Value Fund, managed by John Biccard, won the Award for the best South African Equity General Fund over 10 years. This achievement is particularly special, as 2025 marks John’s 25th year at the helm of the Value Fund.
