Maik is Director Institutional Clients based in Germany within the Europe Client Group at Ninety One. He is responsible for developing new institutional and distribution relationships in Germany and Austria, as well as supporting existing clients.

Prior to Joining the firm, Maik spent more than a decade in the Capital Markets Divisions of Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan servicing institutional clients. At Goldman Sachs, he was responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with pension schemes in Germany and Austria. He also initiated and established investment and hedging solutions with well-known blue chip corporations for traditional, as well as new asset classes and supported these developments with respect to the economic and regulatory challenges. Maik started his career as a foreign exchange specialist at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economic Science from Freiburg University, Germany. He specialised in the Scandinavian economic area at Linköping University, Sweden, and was selected participant of the Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Young Executive Programme at INSEAD, France.
