Gareth is a researcher with the Manager Research team, a unit within Mercer's investment business. Based in London he specialises in researching long only equity strategies. Gareth is a member of Mercer’s emerging market equity and systematic equity lead research committees, is responsible for strategic research initiatives within the equity research team and chairs Mercer's Strategic Research Group.

Gareth joined Mercer in April 2009 from Schroder Investment Management where he worked in the Investment Product Analysis team, providing fund analysis on both internal and competitor funds. Prior to Schroders, Gareth worked for Arcus Investment Management in New Zealand as a fund analyst, and was involved in the manager research and selection process for Arcus' range of multi-manager and multi-asset portfolios.

Gareth has a bachelor with honours degree in Economics and Finance from Victoria University, Wellington. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds the IMC qualification.
