Duncan heads up Human Capital at Ninety One. In this role, he is responsible for all people-related matters in the firm including individual, team, leader and organisation development.

Duncan joined the firm  in 1997, originally heading the Advisor channel in South Africa and then developing the UK advisor business. He left in 2002 to study full time, however he retained close ties to the business and re-joined in 2007. He moved into his current role in September 2018.

Duncan holds a Doctorate in Organisational Behaviour from the Weatherhead School of Management, an MBA from IMD, a LLB (Dean’s Merit List) and a Bachelor of Social Science (majors in Psychology and Economics) from the University of Cape Town. His academic research focuses on leadership and the psychology of leadership.
