Ruen is a portfolio manager within the South African Rates team at Ninety One. His responsibilities include macro research and co-portfolio management of Ninety One’s relative value fixed income strategies.

Ruen joins Ninety One after six years with Argon Asset Management where he led the Macro Investment team and co-managed their fixed income funds. Before that Ruen spent two years as a portfolio manager with Cadiz Asset Management and nine years with South Easter Fund Management/PSG. He started his career as an actuarial modeler with Computer Science Corporation.

Ruen graduated with a Bachelor of Business Science, Actuarial Science degree from the University of Cape Town.
