About

Paul is a portfolio manager within the Emerging Market Fixed Income team. He manages the Reserve Management strategies and co-manages the Target Return Bond and Global Diversified Income strategies. He is an active member of the FX and macro research groups with a specialist focus on FX, interest rates, DM central bank policy and physical commodity markets. Paul started in the finance industry in 1994 working for Hambros Bank gaining significant experience in international finance and banking. He then moved to Hambros Fund Management in 1996 as a position keeper for several large institutional fixed income clients. In 1997 he moved to Guinness Flight Hambro helping build the central fixed income dealing desk for all FI strategies and in 1998 became a foreign exchange trader covering execution for all DM and EM portfolios. Paul then moved into portfolio management starting as a fixed income analyst and in 2002 became an assistant portfolio manager. In 2006 he became a portfolio manager responsible for several multi-currency fixed income portfolios including co-managing a leveraged currency fund. Paul received his Investment Management Certificate in 1997. He is a member (MSCI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment having passed exams in both ‘Fund Management’ and ‘Bond and Fixed Interest Markets’ and is also a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance having passed ‘Economics and the Banks Role in the Economy’.
