Annika is an analyst within Ninety One’s Sustainability team. Her focus is on climate transition within and beyond Ninety One’s portfolio; including our advocacy initiatives, supporting the development of a Transition Plan assessment framework for the investment teams, working closely with the investment teams as they assess corporate transition plans, supporting our climate-related strategic engagement and our climate related corporate reporting.

Annika joined Ninety One from SYSTEMIQ, a consultancy that specializes in advising companies, industries and governments on sustainable systems change. Annika has 7 years’ experience advising corporates and governments on transitioning their business models, portfolios and policies to be more inclusive of both people and planet. Her last role was providing global energy and transition finance advice to key policy makers and practitioners engaged in South Africa’s Just Energy Transition.

Annika graduated from Stellenbosch University with a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Sustainable Development. She also gained a Master’s degree in Engineering for Sustainable Development from Cambridge University.
